Nowara Award 2012

For Best Economic Initiative implemented by Women in Lebanese Rural Areas

For the second consecutive year, the national Observatory for Women in Agriculture and Rural Areas (Nowara) is pleased to announce the launch of Nowara Award 2012. The idea or purpose lying behind it is to recompense women in the rural areas of Lebanon, namely those carrying out small or modest economic or hand-craft businesses. These outstanding ladies could be part of a productive group (such as cooperative or informal group) or could be acting individually. It represents an excellent opportunity for these women and to their families, to present their projects, shed the light on their valuable achievements, thus supporting them to keep up the good work, develop themselves and unleash the infinite reserves of their creativity.
